I would like to take a little time to tell you about (myself) your child's teacher...
My name is Kimberly Phelps~Anderson and I graduated from Cornell High School in 1983. Shortly after graduation, I headed off to school to complete my generals in the big town of Eau Claire. I wasn't sure really what I wanted to do for the rest of my life at that time. A few years later, I chose to turn my focus on "Early Childhood Education". After completing my schooling, I enjoyed working as a teacher in a preschool setting. Once again taking on more education, I went back to school once again and continued up the educational ladder until graduating from Mount Scenario College with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education Pre K - 6th grade.
I currently live in Cornell with my husband Rich, whom is a Purchasing Manager at WS. Darley Company located in Chippewa Falls. We are blessed with three boys, Ben, Travis, and Ty. As a family we enjoy spending time at our family cabin, fishing, and the great outdoors. In my free time, I have a passion for reading and watching movies. I also enjoy taking long walks in the wilderness and spending time with family and friends.
Cornell Elementary School is a great place to teach and learn! I have been a teacher at Cornell since the fall of 2000. I have worked with various grade levels over the years. The last seven years focusing mainly with the upper elementary reading program. I'm an energetic and creative person who loves working with students! I like to make our experiences and investigations adventurous and bring new ideas into our classroom. I value my room as a place where students are able to express their ideas and feelings in a safe and respected way. It is my hope that all of the students, parents, and staff that I work with can tell how much I care about my students and their educational experience.
